Fiddler Martin Hayes ion WNPR's Studio 3Fiddler Martin Hayes and guitarist Dennis Cahill create a different kind of Irish traditional music...quiet, intimate and lyrical.

The duo has recorded their first CD in nearly a decade, but they've been playing together all along. The disc "Welcome Here Again" is a departure, featuring short jigs, reels, dances and marches - instead of their regular long medley sets.

Hayes' bluesy note bending - against Cahill's harp-like guitar sound more like evening chamber music than a night at a raucous pub.

Today, Where We Live, we welcome in Martin Hayes, who now makes his home in West Hartford - and Dennis Cahill from Chicago - to play a live concert in our Studio 3.
