HARTFORD, Conn. (May 1, 2013) – The nominations are in! Last night, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Boston/New England Chapter announced its Regional Emmy nominations for the 2012 television season and Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) received twenty-three nominations. The winners will be announced at the 36th Boston/New England Emmy Awards ceremony on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Boston Marriott Copley Place

“This is an overwhelming response from the Academy for our work. I couldn’t be more proud of our producers and staff,” said Jerry Franklin, president and CEO of the Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network (CPBN), parent company of CPTV. “It is truly gratifying to see the tremendous breadth of programming recognized as well, including historical documentaries like Prohibition: Connecticut Runs Dry and The Real McCoy; probing educational specials like Great Expectations: Raising Educational Achievement; and even our series of vignettes, Connecticut’s Cultural Treasures, which highlight the state’s best locations and venues.”
