CPTV is undergoing some big changes in 2015. Not only are we launching exciting new initiatives and bringing our viewers more great new programs than ever before, but you may have noticed that our programming guide looks a little different this month. That’s because we have made some improvements so that our viewers have even more information about the great programming being offered throughout March – not only on CPTV, but on CPTV4U, our 24/7 over-the-air and cable channel, and CPTV Sports, our channel that features local sports coverage as well as popular competition shows and events.
We are so proud of all three of our channels that we wanted to highlight our program offerings on each one. With our new-and-improved programming guide, viewers will be able to see at a glance what’s airing on CPTV, CPTV4U and CPTV Sports. Can’t be home to catch your favorite show when it airs on CPTV? Check out the CPTV4U schedule, because that show may be re-airing on CPTV4U soon. Want to relive the on-the-field accomplishments of a young athlete in your life, whether son or daughter, niece, nephew or grandchild? Check out the CPTV Sports schedule to see when his or her team’s game will be featured. Whatever you’re looking for, chances are it’s airing on CPTV, CPTV4U or CPTV Sports!
And while we’re on the subject of exciting announcements, we at the Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network will host a special advance screening of the new documentary 180 Days: Hartsville , premiering on CPTV on Tuesday, March 17 at 8 p.m. This important new film follows one Southern town’s efforts to address the demand for reform in American public schools. Before it airs on CPTV, catch a preview of 180 Days: Hartsville at this advance screening, which will be accompanied by a “Response to Hartsville” community forum, encouraging discussion of the film. This event will take place Tuesday, March 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Learning Lab housed
at CPBN’s Hartford headquarters. The forum portion will be recorded for broadcast on WNPR’s original news-talk show Where We Live on Monday, March 16. To register for the event, call (860) 275-7550 or
