For Those In Peril On The Sea; an evening of original one-acts
Ticket Price: $10

The next production at the award-winning Hole in the Wall Theater (HITW) in New Britain, Connecticut, is a trio of original one-acts by local playwright (Windsor), Bill Arnold. The collection, For Those In Peril On The Sea, gets its title from the common element the plays share:  boats. The commonality ends there, though, as the “boats” run the gamut from a small fishing boat shared by two good friends to the galley of a large ship to the Titanic.

Deckchairs tells the story of Albert Swanson who works on the Titanic and has a very important job – deckchair management. As things go terribly wrong for the Titanic, Swanson’s job becomes paramount; arrange those deckchairs! To help him with this gargantuan task, Swanson enlists the help of an eclectic mix of shipmates and a royal passenger.

Using All The Good People As Your Galley Slaves, brings audiences to the ship The Belligerent Badger (not to be confused with the Honey Badger!) and life below deck in the galley. There we find a collection of incredibly well-spoken rowers who not only are very civil to each other but team together to befriend and welcome the new man on the team.
Gone Fishin’ is about Roy and Bob. Longtime friends in their twilight years, their love of fishing is second to none (including beer!) and as they sit and fish, their conversations take them through the fish they have caught, the women they have loved, and the bodies they have buried.
For Those In Peril On The Sea will run Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31. Showtime for both performances is 8:00PM and ticket prices are $10.
