The Choral Club of Clinton will present a Spring Concert on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Clinton at 12 Commerce Street. Founded in 1926, the chorus’s members hail from communities along the shoreline. The chorus will entertain the audience with an eclectic selection of choral music, including classical selections by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, several traditional spirituals, a piece inspired by Walt Whitman’s “Song of the Open Road”, and a medley featuring songs from the Broadway musical Titanic.
The chorus is directed by Jeremy D. Milton, who holds the Master of Music Degree in Choral Conducting and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education from the University of Maine. He is currently the Director of Choral Music for Old Saybrook Public Schools.
