“This event not only connects the public to these artists and their work, but also offers a beautiful adventure along intriguing, breathtaking back roads. Visitors are certain to find many studios that peak their interests – there is such a variety to choose from,” said Amy Wynn, Executive Director of the Northwest Connecticut Arts Council. “The Open Your Eyes Studio Tour has shown that when the public learns first-hand from the artists about what is involved with the making of a work and the ‘story’ behind it, a deeper connection and involvement with the art work happens. This year, we have added the Performance Showcase on Saturday evening, where each performer will be on the New Milford Green stage for about 20-25 minutes and will have a booth where the public can learn about the work that these artists are involved in as well.”
